Delicious Sounds Choir

St Mark’s Church Hall
Archers Road, Southampton SO15 2LU.
Led by Fiona Funnell
Delicious Sounds is a choir based in Southampton, organised and directed by local resident Fiona Funnell. It is open to all – you don’t need to read music, you don’t have to pass an audition and you don’t have to sing solos (though you can if you like). We sing ‘a cappella’ – i.e. without piano or other accompaniment. You do need to be passionate about performing and prepared to learn song parts between rehearsals and prior to concerts.
The choir was launched in October 2014 with a workshop in the city art gallery, and quickly grew to about 50 members. The choir meets weekly on Monday evenings, and the aim is to prepare for public performances at the end of each ‘term’.

The Igloo Choir
Monday nights Twice a month and saturday afternoon Once a month 1:30 – 5:30
Igloo Studios in Wickham
The Igloo Choir is an adults’ mixed voice choir, that meets twice monthly.
We enjoy singing special arrangements of well known songs together in harmony, and are also the UK’s only songwriting choir (as far as we have been able to work out!). We compose songs together as a group, lead by the director, enabling all members to take part in the creative process.
There are other opportunities amongst the Igloo Community to learn how to sing if members would like to improve their skills. We perform at local festivals and charity events.
We are a friendly group, and have a very natural, acoustic sound and perform with live instruments. We are looking for new members to join our Monday night group – everyone welcome. If you are a lady with a naturally low or high voice, we have parts for you.
Men also very welcome.
